I think we don't always know how to even deal with grief or how to comfort a friend. We often live in singular families away from our own due to work etc so we're not always near each other when things happen.Įveryone's trying to survive, work and manage kids alone or just the 2 of them, it's hard then to have capacity for more. I think in the world of social media we've lost some of that heart and soul of community life. Seeing my mum's Zambians friends come around, bringing her meals, driving her about just to make things easier and keep her company I feel sad that my generation in the west don't seem to have that anymore. Grief is an odd thing and we don't talk about it much here in the west anymore.

I'm starting a website redesign and a planner design project which will keep me busy until September, alongside school holidays and taking my aunt and uncle sightseeing. This year looks nothing like I planned or imagined and that is part of life.

I'm not overly motivated in regards to my own business or what I want to personally work on. I returned to my projects 2 weeks ago, my lovely clients have me space and I had about 5 weeks off.
